Always seek real learning
In a simply decorated apartment in the picturesque campus of Xiamen University, Li Zhurun, a guest professor, is talking to us about his life as both a journalist and a teacher of journalism. Time and again he says he has nothing spectacular to offer. "I'm a small potato," he says.
As the talk goes on, however, we find him increasingly fascinating because he has been leading a simple yet rich life, a life interesting though without much sensation.
As a journalist, Li has worked at the Xinhua ... -

On Tolerance
I recalled reading one post on Tianyaclub the other day titled: what makes female journalist hard to get married? Someone replied, and I paraphrase, "For the job's sake, Female journalists see the world with a broader horizon than ordinary people, which results in their intolerance and fastidious manners, and in return, leads to their difficulties to get married." In my interpretation, the man meant to say that it is the knowledge, together with rich experience that leads to the marriage problem exposed to female journalists. The more you know, the less tolerant you became. In my opinion, world rotates the opposite way. For most people, monks, nuns and anchorites excluded as exceptions, the more you know, the more tolerant you are.

Privacy under the spotlight
Protection of a patient's right to privacy has been a hot issue nationwide for a long time, and the hospital, as a public sector institution, is closely connected to that debate. -

A French knight
Roland Fath is French, an owner of a vibrant and enchanting lavender field and a hectare of luxuriant olive trees in Provence, a heaven widely recognized as one of the "one hundred places you should go in your life."
Over ten years ago, the businessman left his heaven for China, an unknown far-east country to him, and found Xiamen, a second heaven in his life. Since then his life consists of shuttling between the two heavens.

A visionary artist's campaign
A visionary artist's campaign
World No Tobacco Day, which now falls on May 31st each year, started in 1988 to draw the public's attention to the harms caused by smoking. Fresh grads, fresh start-ups
Starting up a business tends to be a fashion among Chinese fresh graduates in recent years.
Inspired by American icons, like Bill Gates, Michael Dell, Larry Ellison and their business legends, starting up a business tends to be a fashion among Chinese fresh grads in recent years. In two-month's time, seniors will end their academia and join the work force. While his college classmates are annoyed by questions like whether to seek for a position as public servants in the government or hunt for a job in a corporate atmosphere in ...
